“A WAKE” is a memorial service for Catalina Trezza: Donato’s maternal grandmother and a woman with Alzheimer's disease. Presented in 5 Acts, it is a personal outpour of the unexpected things that emerge when grieving the memories and identity of another. It is also an active attempt to make work that vibrates with Catalina’s tenacity and selflessness, which inevitably connects Donato to her roots and family history.
