DONATO CREATION LAB is an immersive Performance Project, inviting movers of all levels to step into a collaborative creative process. In an accessible and invigorating format, rehearsals evolve into a new documented dance work by Amanda Donato. All participants will have access to the final documentation of the finished piece, as well as clips, photos, and individual portraits taken during rehearsals. Each session offers a space to explore individual and collective artistry within a structured creative framework. Over 7 days, each rehearsal feels deeper and more spacious. Any fixed material starts to feel more natural and embodied.
At its core, DONATO CREATION LAB embraces imperfection, rawness, and authenticity—honouring the rehearsal space as a site of discovery rather than performance pressure. Donato’s process is inherently collaborative, valuing the perspectives of all participants.
